Location & Accomodation

Location

Bari, the chieftown of the Apulian region, is the third biggest city of South Italy, after Naples and Palermo. On the Adriatic sea, Bari has a great historical and cultural tradition, including the Saint Nicholas' Basilica, in the heart of the old town (Barivecchia), and the white-limestone Federician Castle, near the seafront.

Several beautiful places lies in the Bari area: Polignano a Mare, Castellana Grotte (with its famous and wonderful caves), Alberobello and its “Trulli” (UNESCO world heritage), several medieval cities overlooking the beautiful southern Adriatic coast, and so on.

Visit Puglia allows beautiful and relaxing vacations at close touch with inspiring history, from the Gargano down to the Salento. Hardly at 50 Km lies the fascinating Matera, "2019 European Capital of Culture" city, with the “Sassi”, its renowned extensive cave-dwelling districts and UNESCO world heritage.
