46th SIS Scientific Meeting

The Conference will include plenary, specialized, solicited, contributed and poster sessions. There will also be invited sessions from representatives of some European statistical societies.
The Conference Program Committee invites submissions of contributed papers/posters. These can be on any area of interest relevant to theoretical and applied statistics.
1. Submission of a contributed paper
Papers can be submitted on-line. All submissions, except Invited talks, are subject to a blind refereeing process. Information on paper submission, editorial standards and other details will be made available on the conference site:

Proposals for contributed paper sessions are invited. These sessions will be similar to standard contributed paper sessions except that the organizer, usually one of the contributors, suggests to consider a number (up to three/four) of contributed papers into a session prior to submission. Upon acceptance of the contributed papers, the Conference Program Committee will confirm the inclusion into the program of the proposed contributed paper session. The Session will be chaired by the organizer. The deadlines are as follows:
Title submission: December 30th, 2011
Contributed papers submission: February 29th, 2012
Author Notification: March 31, 2012
Final version: May 11, 2012
2. Submission of a Poster
Researchers who wish to participate without submitting a paper, can send a poster up to the very last minute. The deadline is as follows:
Poster: June 8th, 2012.

3. Publications
a) Proceedings - All accepted papers will be published in the SIS2012 Proceedings with ISBN.
b) A Book in the new international Series Studies in Theoretical and Applied Statistics, will be published by Springer under the supervision of several European Statistical Societies. All presenters will be invited to submit their paper for possible publication. Submissions will undergo a blind reviewing process and only the selected papers will be included in the book. Author Guidelines
IMPORTANT:
1. Contributed papers can be now submitted using the online submission process below. If you have already submitted a title for this conference, please start a new submission to upload your manuscript. If you did not submit a title for this conference, you can still submit a contributed paper using the online submission system.
2. Papers must be written in English, according with SIS technical standards. Follow these links for the current standards: LaTeX and Word. Also, please check this example. Papers to be presented in specialized sessions must not exceed 8 pages. All the other papers (solicited and contributed) must not exceed 4 pages. All submissions, except invited talks, are subject to a blind refereeing process. Accepted papers can be exposed in an oral or poster presentation.
